Drone Regulations

We understand that staying within the bounds of the law can be confusing, especially when traveling from country to country. The tool below has up-to-date information on most countries’ drone regulations. Always double check with local authorities and drone pilots for the latest information in your region.

REGULATIONS

Drone regulations vary widely in a country-by-country basis in Africa. Some countries require permits, other require licences, others require nothing at all. Moreover, bringing a drone into a country can cause it to be seized at customs without the right paperwork.

africanDRONE is attempting to provide a current, locally-sourced base of information from our pilots throughout Africa on the regulations in each country.

Note that this information should not be construed as legal advice and as such, always check multiple sources for the absolute current information before flying in, or bringing a drone to, these countries.
